3 Days Luxury Safari

Luxury tented camps come in various levels of luxury and styles. The common denominator is the eco-friendly, solar powered, canvas tents offering an authentic bush experience. Enjoy sunsets around a camp fire and feel at one with nature.

Some tented camps are designed specifically to be lightweight and mobile, in order to follow the wildebeest migration.

During a safari walk, Richard Bonham, pilot and hunter, realized immediately that he had discovered something unique… on the banks of the Rufiji River, and the Luxury Adventures camp was born.

Composed of just 8 stone and thatched cottages, all open-fronted and raised on decks overlooking the river, there are 5 Riverside rooms – with en-suite bathrooms, hot and cold running water, flush toilets and powerful showers – and 3 Hillside Suites. The Suites have all the above, but a large living space and a small plunge pool. The views are akin to watching a beautiful painting come alive as you spot hippos & crocodiles wade lazily along the winding river, birds flitting about in the bushes or startle a baboon in the foliage.

Day 1

06h30 Transfer from your hotel/resort to Zanzibar Airport.

08h00 Departure flight from the airport to Selous Game Reserve.

09h15 Arrival at the Selous – Kiba Airstrip and meet & greet with your personal guide.

09h30 Check in at the camp.

12h30 Lunch at Sand River Selous and relaxing time.

16h00 Briefing by the guide and start of the activities: Choose between a Walking, Boat or Game Drive Safari.

18h45 Return to the camp.

20h00 Dinner and overnight.

Day 2

05h30 Wake up with early breakfast service in the room

06h00 Departure for the activities: Choose between a Walking, Boat or Game Drive Safari. Breakfast in the wilderness.

12h00 Return to Sand River Selous for lunch and relaxation.

16h00 Briefing by the guide and start of the activities: Choose between a Walking, Boat or Game Drive Safari.

18h45 Return to the camp.

20h00 Dinner and overnight.

Day 3

06h00 Wake up with early coffee in the room.

06h30 Departure for the last short Game Drive activity.

12h00 Return to Sand River Selous.

12h30 Departure from Sand River Selous to the Airstrip.

13h30 Flight from Kiba Airstrip to Zanzibar.

Day 4

06h00 Wake up with early coffee in the room.

06h30 Departure for the last short Game Drive activity.

12h00 Return to Sand River Selous.
