Eastern Circuit

The Eastern Circuit Safari of Tanzania has relatively few things on offer, but those few things can overshadow the giants in both eastern and southern circuit. With the likes of Kitulo National Park and Sadaani National Park, an Eastern Circuit Safari tour can be both exciting and fulfilling.

The Two Major Parks In The Eastern Circuit Are:

  • Kitulo Plateau National Park. Kitulo National Park is an outstanding park in Tanzania and even to some extent in entire of Africa. The unmatchable floral diversity of this place has given it the nickname of “The Serengeti of Flowers.” The wilderness of the park is perched between the mountains of Kipengere, Porto, and Livingstone which gives it its landscape diversity. Along with wildflowers and plant life, this park also accommodates variety of migratory and native bird species like the storks that migrate all the way from Northern Europe to Africa.
  • Sadaani National Park. It’s the only park in Tanzania that borders with the Indian Ocean shoreline. It was declared a national park in 2005 before which it was a game reserve. It is relatively a small park with an area of just 1100 sq km and hosts about 30 different species of large mammal population. Besides that turtles, fish, humpback whales, and dolphins also have a good chance of being spotted.

From the eastern circuit, other national parks like Mkomazi and tourist spots like Pangani are easily accessible with Time 4 Zanzibar which makes the parks in eastern circuit an ideal destination for one-day safari excursion.
