Northern Circuit
The Northern Circuit Safari of Tanzania is rich in both culture and wildlife. Wildlife especially is the specialty of this part of Tanzania. The annual Great Migration, the Big Five of Africa, and rich avifauna population give an enthralling safari experience for anyone with even a slightest interest in wildlife. Northern Circuit Safari receives the largest chunk of tourists coming to Tanzania who get immersed into the nature’s greatest theatre.
Here Are The Major National Parks In The Northern Circuit:
- Serengeti National Park. This iconic national park in northern circuit is part of the famous Serengeti ecosystem which is seemingly the most wildlife-dense places in the world. Within the vast ecosystem which spans a mammoth 30,000 square kilometers, there exist two world heritage sites and two biosphere reserves.
- Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Ngorongoro CA is a World Heritage Site and a protected area enclosing the Ngorongoro crater which is the world’s largest inactive volcano. The crater has developed a unique ecosystem inside it and in surrounding areas which give you a utopian feeling. This conservation area supports around 2 million migratory species. The harmonious co-existence of human, domesticated and wild animals within the boundaries is also appreciative.
- Mkomazi National Park. Mkomazi is one of the standout parks in the northern circuit and the newest member of Tanzanian safari parks. The rich acacia concentration, fair chunk of wildlife, and a remote atmosphere permit this park to claim a separate distinctive spot in the crowded space of northern Tanzania.
- Lake Manyara National Park. This lovely scenic park is renowned for hosting some of the diverse wildlife habitats, predominately the bird species with more than 400 distinct species spotted. Lake Manyara is the nucleus of this park which provides a prospering environment for forests, vegetation and most of the animals in here.
